Butternut Squash & Pears
This is so good and it is such a fall flavor. The combination of sugar, nuts, and fruit caramelizes and the squash becomes tender and absorbs all the flavors of the dish. This is easy to make, so try it!

Ingredients
1 1/2 Cups cubed butternut squash
1 medium pear cut into cubes
1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds (or chopped walnuts)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp packed brown sugar
1 tbsp salted butter
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine butternut squash cubes and pear cubes in a medium casserole dish. Add nuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir well until spices coat all the pieces.
Sprinkle sugar evenly over the squash mixture.Dot the whole dish with small pieces of the butter. Place uncovered dish into a 400 degree oven for 40 minutes.
